VettedCounter ("we", "us") operates vettedcounter.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

Outbound click data. When you click a link to a retailer, we record the offer you clicked, the page you came from, the referring URL, campaign parameters (such as utm_source), and a timestamp. We use this to understand which recommendations are useful and to be paid correctly by affiliate networks. This data does not include your name, and we do not build individual profiles from it.

Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard request logs (IP address, browser user-agent, pages requested) for security and debugging. Logs are retained for a limited period and not used for advertising.

Email. If you contact us, we keep the correspondence so we can respond and follow up. We do not add you to any mailing list without your consent.

Affiliate links and third parties

Links to retailers include tracking identifiers from affiliate networks such as Amazon Associates. When you follow one, the retailer or network may set cookies on their own domains under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit through our links.

Cookies

VettedCounter itself does not require cookies to browse. Any cookies set by affiliate networks after you leave our site are governed by those networks' policies.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers that run our infrastructure (hosting, database) under contractual confidentiality, or when required by law.

Your choices

You can browse without clicking affiliate links. You can request access to, or deletion of, any personal data we hold about you by emailing contact@vettedcounter.com.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
